Produce
Beef
Our beef is derived from our own prime quality livestock reared on our
own farm. We are proud to sell our own reared beef. We employ the
highest standards of traditional stockman ship, treating animals with
respect. The cattle are free to roam on our own land as far as the weather
permits. During the winter months, when stabled inside, they are fed on
natural foods including hay, silage and a cereal diet. No added hormones,
additives or growth promoters are used, ensuring we produce meat which
is not only succulent but full of flavour. We are part of the Farm Assured
Scheme for British Beef & Lamb, registered since 1996. This is an
organisation monitoring food safety and animal welfare issues, enforcing
strict procedures for livestock producers. Membership involves rigorous,
annual checks and inspections to ensure our animals are kept to a high
standard. The welfare of the animals is paramount at all stages. Our
computer records allow full trace-ability, providing us with the history of
any individual animal from birth. All our beef is hung, on the bone, for a
minimum of 7 days. Steak joints are hung for a minimum of 21 days
which gives you the flavour and tenderness of our succulent meat.
Our home made, quarter pound burgers are individually made, by
ourselves, using our own meat. A variety of flavours are available
including beef, pork & apple, venison, minty lamb, chicken and turkey.
Newly added varieties to our range this summer include ; -
Big Boy burgers - a 6oz burger for those with a healthy appetite!
Hot and spicy burger - with an added kick. Exciting new flavours added to
our Homemade, quarter pound burger collection this week. All hand made
using our own meat.
